Harrisburg City Islanders Introduce 2012 Team
Islanders look to duplicate 2011 success and capture USL PRO Championship
Harrisburg, PA- The Harrisburg City Islanders introduced their 2012 team at a press conference held today at Capital BlueCross Headquarters in Harrisburg, PA. The City Islanders will return to Skyline Sports Complex for their ninth professional season, with new-look jersey in tow.
Although similar to last season’s uniforms, the club’s kits for 2012 introduce some new features. The new uniform is an updated version of the NIKE Classic IV, similar to the EPL’s Arsenal uniform. The navy and white colors provide a great backdrop for the new-look front. Showcased on both the home and away jerseys is the traditional large City Islanders logo with the Championship Star placed above, commemorating the team’s 2007 USL Second Division Championship. Team sponsors Snickers and Capital BlueCross will once again be featured on the front of the jerseys.
“Capital BlueCross is excited to see the City Islanders sporting our logo on their jerseys for the ninth year in a row,” said Gary D. St. Hilaire, Capital BlueCross President. “These men are champions on the field, leaders in the community and advocates for good health. That is a winning formula and makes for an ideal partnership with Capital BlueCross. We look forward to cheering for the team this season as they march toward another national championship appearance.”

Building Better Bones
Surgical treatment of spinal compression fractures using the technique known as kyphoplasty not only repairs but also restores alignment and helps prevent future problems. Most patients experience immediate pain relief and are quickly able to return to their normal activities.
Prevention & Treatment of Spinal Fractures due to Osteoporosis
Nearly 10 million Americans have osteoporosis. Unfortunately, there are no obvious symptoms of brittle bones. It isn’t until an accident or fall occurs that a person is usually diagnosed with osteoporosis. Spinal fractures resulting from osteoporosis can lead to chronic pain, difficulty walking, and inability to perform daily activities. At PinnacleHealth, we offer the most comprehensive osteoporosis program in the region. From screenings, prevention, medication management, rehabilitation, and surgery, our specialists provide services to both men and women.
Learn more by joining Walter Peppelman, DO, orthopedic and spine surgeon, who will share information about a minimally invasive surgical procedure called kyphoplasty for people suffering with compression fractures of the spine, and Renu Joshi, MD, PinnacleHealth endocrinologist, who will discuss prevention, diagnosis, and medical treatment of osteoporosis.
