Join us in Donating to Operation Backpack

Operation Backback

The Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania (OIP & Arlington Orthopedics – Family of Care) has teamed up with Volunteers of America to collect back to school items for Operation Backpack now through August 3rd.

In 2016, we donated 128 backpacks filled with supplies plus 4 boxes filled with school supplies.

Today, most school students are required to show up with everything they need. Homeless and low-income children face tremendous stigmatization; as a result, they are more likely to be bullied, placed in special education classes or drop out of school. A positive self esteem for these children can make a huge difference in their attitude towards school and learning.

Please join us in helping kids start their school year off on the right foot with backpacks and school supplies.

If you would like to help out by donating backpacks and/or school supplies, please stop by one of our offices with your items no later than August 3rd.
